Clinton, TN – 12.09.2024 – The Anderson County School District and Clinton High School are thrilled to announce the appointment of Jake Dawson as the new Head Football Coach of the Clinton Dragons. With a proven track record and a passion for developing young athletes, Coach Dawson brings a fresh and dynamic vision to the Clinton Football program.
Coach Dawson joins Clinton High School following impactful tenures at Knox Catholic, Heritage, and Powell High Schools. He also served as a graduate assistant for the University of Tennessee football team, where he honed his coaching philosophy and developed a deep understanding of what it takes to build a successful program.
In his first public statement as Head Coach, Dawson expressed his excitement and commitment:
"I’m a young coach, with a lot of passion for what I do. I’m excited and blessed to have been chosen to be a part of this next era of Clinton Football. This program will become an environment where excellence is achieved through consistency and hard work. I’m a believer in setting ambitious goals that challenge our student-athletes to grow on and off the field. My passion for the game drives my commitment to developing each player's unique potential, while fostering a strong sense of community within the locker room.
