Gamco Math Football ACTIVITY:

Either two or three players can play this game. Each player has a token and a scorecard. The first player rolls the die and advances his token the number of spaces indicated on the die. He then records on his score sheet the place value of the number where his token landed. The second player then rolls the die and advances accordingly. Each player rolls the die six times. At the end of six rounds players then total up the number of one thousands, ten thousands and hundred thousands each has. That total is then written as a whole number and the player with the largest number wins.

THEME IDEAS:

Use different numbers or operations to integrate your unit of study. The Road Rally game board numbers could be changed to include ones, tens and hundreds place value numbers for those students needing review. The operation could be changed from addition to multiplication for an enrichment activity.
