Materials:

An area to be used as a store (can be very simple or quite elaborate), dried fruits, freeze-dried ice cream, "Moon Mud"-

Technology: WTW Form I, Space Unit

Activity:

At a center, set up a "Space Store." Students should purchase such items as dried fruits, freeze-dried ice-cream, or Mood Mud. They pay for the items, using real money. The other students at the center will make change.

Theme Ideas: This activity should be used with the unit on space. An art idea would be to have the students construct a space ship to be used as the space store.

Homework: Have students design and create space food for the space store. These could be used cereal boxes covered and decorated.
