Activity: The teacher will have the students select a "cookie" from the cookie jar and sit in a circle on the floor. The teacher will begin the cookie chant and have the students join in.

Children: Who took the cookie from the cookie jar?

Teacher: Number Word took the cookie from the cookie jar.

Number Called: Who me? (Child puts the cookie back in the jar)

Children: Yes, you.

Number Called: Couldn't be.

Children: Then who?

Teacher: Calls a new number and continues the song.
