Activity:
In an introduction to time, the teacher will light the two candles at the same time and ask
the class which candle they think will burn longer. The teacher will begin reading the
book. When the story is completed, the class will observe, compare, and discuss the
length of the candles.
Theme Ideas:
Read Pumpkin,Pumpkin by Jeanne Tithington during Halloween and let class decide which
candle would be best to burn in the classroom pumpkin.
