Riverdeep Announcements

The implementation of the Riverdeep program is going very well!  The complete implementation will take many months to complete.  When fully implemented, Riverdeep will offer our students over 270 new applications, Pre K-12!  It is so exciting to be implementing new curriculum applications at the OOT.

I will inform you monthly of the progress being made in the total implementation.  I would also encourage you to visit the Riverdeep Implementation link off the main web site to see the progress being made "almost" daily .  (Please remember to click the "Refresh" button on your Internet Explorer tool bar to make sure you are viewing the most current information...  The Riverdeep Implementation site is up-dated almost every day.)

Riverdeep in Anderson County will be used in 2 ways...
1.  Internet  (Username and password required)
2.  School Network (Username and password required)

Locating Riverdeep Resources on the Internet
The Internet side of Riverdeep can be launched from our Anderson County web site by clicking on the Riverdeep Implementation Information button located on the main page.  Once viewing the Riverdeep Implementation Site you should click on the grade area you teach... Elementary, Middle, or High.  At this point you will be able to view the most current Riverdeep Implementation Information for your grade area.

Please click on the button "Using Riverdeep with Anderson County Students."  This list will give you information on how applications will be launched by you and / or your students, Internet or School Network.  If the application or site is to be accessed by way of the Internet, you will simply click on the title to launch the application or site.  If the application is to be used on the school network, you will launch the application from your Start Button or within Netclass.  We will give you more information as applications are loaded to your school network.

Training Information
Your Core Team members have been invited to attend training on the Math, Science, and Language Arts programs.  We will be offering training for all teachers beginning in January and continuing to offer training for many months.  During the summer we plan to offer extended training on all areas of the Riverdeep program.  Riverdeep training dates will be posted on the web site during the month of December

Using Riverdeep on the INTERNET/ Teachers
Each staff member will log-on to the Riverdeep web site with a username and password.  The Riverdeep Internet accounts have been created for all the schools which have provided staff information to the OOT.   We will continue to create staff accounts as the information comes into our office.  Talk with your Core Team members to learn your username and password to log-on to the Internet side of the Riverdeep program.  To access the Riverdeep site simply go to the ACS’s web site and click on the Riverdeep Character Logo, located at the bottom of the page beside the "State Performance Goals"   button, and use your username and password to log-on to the site.  Once you (as a teacher) log-on to the site you will have full access to all the Riverdeep applications, resources, lesson plans, and etc.

Using Riverdeep on the INTERNET/ Students
Your students will also log-on to the Riverdeep site with a username and password.  At this time your students will ALL use the same username and password for your whole school.  Students will be given individual usernames and passwords sometime this spring.  Beginning now, your student may use all the Riverdeep resources with the school wide username and password.  Multiple students may log-on at the same time using the same username and password.  Talk with your Core Team members to learn the school wide username and password for your students.
